Floating Frameless Picture Frame WITH MAT

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BELOW BEFORE ORDERING

The final frame will be 8" LARGER than your artwork as both the mat and the frame add extra width and height.

All frames and mats are custom cut and made to order for your art so understanding how to order correctly is important. 

Mats provide an extra elegance to your custom framing order while the modern frameless floating frame showcases your artwork and pictures in style. IMPORTANT: you must measure your artwork exactly because the mat will be cut 1/4" smaller than your picture so that it doesn't fall through the opening. To order a fractional size, round UP when selecting the size from the drop down menu and in the "artwork Size" field, which is freeform text, you would enter the true dimensions rounding to the nearest 1/8". For example, for a 10.5 x 14.35 you wouldorder Short Side 11 and Long Side 15 and in the Artwork Size field enter "Poster 10 1/2 x 14 3/8"

Order your artwork size, not the frame size. We will add a 2" wide mat to your picture which will effectively make the framed artwork a total of 4" larger in both directions. Then the final dimensions of your frame will be 4" larger than the mat giving you a 2" border on each side of the mat.

For example, your artwork is 10x16. When a mat is added, the exterior dimensions of the mat will be 14x20. The exterior dimensions of the frame required for that size matted picture will be 18x24. High quality acrylic panels, not glass frames, sandwich your pictures and posters between clear plexiglass. They can be mounted vertically or horizontally and come with brushed silver (default), shiny silver, gold, black or white standoffs.

The price shown is for a 8x8 frame. When you customize your order using the dropdown boxes, a price increase for that larger size will be shown. T

All frames are hand made and cut to order. We can make almost any size but shipping costs limit the maximum cost effective size to 35X44. See our FAQ page  for information on pricing for larger frames or discounts available for orders of 5 or more frames. 

• SHIPPING and TIMING: Custom orders are cut to order and shipped within 3-6 business days. Typically, orders placed Mon-Wed will be shipped by Sat and orders placed Th-Sun will be shipped by Wed. Shipping generally takes 2-6 days depending on how far from the east coast you are.
• QUALITY. High quality .125" thick acrylic. Sizes over 1000 square inches are upgraded to thicker .177" reinforced back panel.  
• CORNERS - Rounded corners. Squared corners are available on request. Enter the request in the Artwork size field along with your artwork dimensions. 
• HARDWARE - Frames with both sides under 20" will have 1/2" diameter hardware. Over 20" will have 3/4" diameter hardware. If you are ordering multiple sized frames that will go on the same wall and want matching hardware, please notate that in the Artwork Size field. 
• MAX THICKNESS: 3/8" maximum thickness and recommend for flat items, not items with varying thickness
• NUMBER OF HARDWARE: Most frames will have 4 hardware, 1 in each corner.  Frames with final exterior dimensions of any side 36" and over will have an extra hardware in the middle of that side. So larger frames can have 6 or 8. 
• ANY CUSTOM SIZE   up to 31 x 40 or 28 x 48. For frame sizes not shown please email for a custom quote and see our FAQ
• SPECIFICATIONS: MADE IN USA. Your picture frame will include two  acrylic panels with rounded corners cut to your custom size and 4 or 6 stand offs depending on the size (any side 36" or longer will have a middle standoff).

RETURNS: Frames are custom made to order and therefore difficult to re-use. If there is an error on our part of shipping damage, we will replace. For unwanted frames or mis-ordered frames and mats, you may return for a refund less our original outbound shipping and a 15% restocking fee.
